All Milford citizens concerned about the Foxwoods casino proposal are invited to attend Casino-Free Milford's CITIZENS FORUM ON THE CASINO October 30th, 7:00 p.m. in Upper Town Hall.

Find out the facts about Foxwoods at Casino-Free Milford’s CITIZENS FORUM ON THE CASINO on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30th at 7:00 p.min Upper Town Hall.

All Milford citizens concerned about the casino proposal and its impact on our community are invited to attend this informative event.

** This event was previously scheduled for October 17th, but will instead be held October 30th. 

The Citizens Forum will include brief presentations by several guest speakers: 
  • Psychologist Tom Larkin will discuss the social impact of casino gambling on a community.
  • Former Connecticut Congressman Robert Steele will share the impacts experienced in Connecticut following the opening of Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun.
  • David Morganelli, a tax attorney and member of the Milford Finance Committee, will discuss the host community agreement and its lack of protections.
  • Chairman William D. Buckley will share his own personal opinions regarding the impact of the proposed casino on Milford.

Following the presentations, each of the speakers will sit on a panel and answer questions from the audience.
