Mailbox Saved, Highway Workers Praised

The Highway Department has a happy customer in Tina Road resident Becky Annis.

Not all mailboxes are doomed to become casualties of snowplows.

Becky Annis wrote to Milford Patch last night, inspired to thank the Milford Highway Department for "all their hard work so far this season."

Specifically, she lauded workers for knocking back the snow 6 feet on her street—Tina Road—without damaging a mailbox or getting snow on driveways. Her full "thank you" .

She also included a picture of her safely standing mailbox.

"They cleared us on Friday," Annis said in an e-mail. "I had called and mentioned how tight our road was getting (dangerous) so I really appreciate that they did it."
