Born in Berlin, Germany, Patricia moved to Massachusetts toward the end of the fourth grade and lived in Stoneham before attending Assumption College in Worcester. While working toward her bachelor's degree, she joined the staff of the Telegram & Gazette as a news assistant. She later became an obituary reporter before becoming a general assignment writer out of the newspaper's Worcester office and then transferring to the Northborough bureau in 2003. Toward the beginning of her journalism career, she also wrote as a correspondent for The Item in Clinton and The Banner, covering Boylston and West Boylston.
Since leaving the T&G in 2008, Patricia worked for a short time as a paralegal before deciding to pursue a career in education. She is currently an English Language Learners tutor at an elementary school in Worcester.
