Bands of heavy rain will move through the area on Wednesday.
Milford and the surrounding areas will see bands of heavy rain through Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service. A flood advisory for the area is in effect until 11 a.m. Wednesday. A weak cold front will sweep across New England, the Weather Service states, bringing occasional heavy downpours and isolated thunderstorms. Some local flooding may occur.

Large hail and downpours may accompany storms the next few days.
A stretch of warm and hazy weather conditions will lead to the possibility of showers and thunderstorms over the next few days, the National Weather Service is predicting. Earlier today the National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for many communities, including Milford, after strong thunderstorms barreled through the MetroWest, dropping heavy rain on the region. Isolated storms could build again later today, with the potential for strong wind, hail and localized flash flooding. The chance for strong storms will return on Thursday, with hail possible from the morning through the early afternoon hours. A strong line of thunderstorms is moving east and will affect the Milford area Monday.
The National Weather Service issued a weather statement at 8:25 a.m. Monday, stating that a line of strong thunderstorms is moving east from western Massachusetts and Connecticut. The storm line extends to the south to Long Island Sound, and is producing frequent lightning strikes and torrential downpours. Wind gusts are reported up to 40 mph, with small hail. The line is moving to the east at 50 mph and will affect much of Central Massachusetts later Monday morning.
