Rise and Shine Academy Daycare, 375 Fortune Blvd., Sept. 25: No violations here. Food is delivered from Milford High School. Food prep is minimal (chicken nuggets and similar foods.) Quick Shop, 124 E. Main St., Sept. 27: No violations here. Small convenience store as part of a service station. No milk, no groceries, no breads. Too coolers with juice, energy drinks, soda, water, etc... Counter display of candy and snacks and a rack system with chips and other assorted bagged snacks. Quick Mart, 58 S. Main St., Sept. 27: Two violations here. Need additional thermometers for the milk cooler and for the ice cream …

Editor's Note: The following statements are from Board of Health inspections of public schools in Milford, and Milford Catholic Elementary School. The reports are based on inspections conducted in April, the most recent available. Milford High School, 31 W. Fountain St., April 9: Six violations, including the following: boxes of "Kids Kookies" on the floor in the dry goods storage room. Three huge stainless steel bowls had some sort of debris in them (probably wood from the ceiling and people walking on upstairs storage area, person in charge states they are cleaned again before use.) Need a new system for storage of cutting board, instead of being stored in a wood rack. Bakers sink has two large cracks in it and will need to be replaced. …
