About 800 people stopped by Milford High School Sunday to tell Santa their wish-list and meet a Patriots legend.
The Milford Lions Club held its annual pancake breakfast with Santa at the Milford High School cafeteria. In addition to pictures with St. Nicholas, participants took part in face-painting, games, and raffles. Milford Woodland School Chorus and Milford Strings performed. Leonardo the Lion, the Milford Lions’ mascot, entertained while attendees lined up for autographs and photos with Steve Nelson, a former New England Patriots linebacker. The event raised money to fund eye research to end blindness, in addition to providing scholarships to Milford High School graduating seniors and assistance to local causes.

The upcoming weekend has several holiday events in the Milford area.
If you haven't gotten into the holiday mood yet, this weekend should change that. Several events are planned this weekend with a Christmas or holiday theme. Here are some of the events we know about. Saturday: Breakfast with Santa, 8 to 11 a.m., Dec. 1, 25 Dutcher St., Union Church, Hopedale: Santa Claus is coming Union Church to enjoy an all you can eat pancake breakfast (complete with the best tasting sausage links known to man, coffee and juice too).
