Robin (Holland) Lumenti, 37, Dies After Battle with Cancer

The Milford native would have celebrated her wedding anniversary this month.

Robin L. (Holland) Lumenti, 37, a lifelong Milford resident, died Monday, Sept. 10, after a two year battle with cancer. She was the wife of Jim Lumenti. Robin was a shift manager at Wendy's for more than 20 years before retiring in 2010. She was born in Boston, the daughter of Marian (Martinos) Holland of Milford and the late Robert F. Holland. She graduated in 1994 from Milford High School. Robin loved her family deeply. Robin and Jim would have celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary on Sept. 22. A Tribute to Robin Lumenti

Learn more about the woman whose name is on the Wendy's sign board.

Heading into Milford on Route 85, you can't miss the Wendy's sign board, which prominently displays a tribute to Robin Lumenti. The 37-year-old Milford mother of two died Monday after a battle with cancer. She had worked for Wendy's for 20 years before retiring in 2010, the same year she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Milford Patch first met Lumenti in February 2011, when she wrote this impassioned plea to the community to help her lessen her family's burden. "I'm not sure how many tomorrows I have left and I thank god everyday I open my eyes and get to see another today," Lumenti had written.
