Judging from its popularity across the region, it seems everyone loves the local police blotter (except, maybe, the people who are featured in it). Whether looking at police news through the vantage point of a reporter or a reader, we've all seen things that make us scratch our collective head. They're the tidbits that people mention at the water cooler, "lighter" news that gives us pause or makes us think, "oh my gosh." When I collected the police log in Milford, I remember writing about a trucker who pulled over to the side of the road to urinate, and was then chased around town by a woman who condemned him as a flasher. The Fire Department has been busy today with an investigation, after responding to an apartment fire on Luby Avenue that sent a man to the hospital. There were also calls in the last 24 hours about speeding and racing vehicles. Thursday, Sept. 15 1:24 p.m.: The Fire Department responded to I-495 north just before Rte. 85, for the report of a rollover. A Maine man was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. 2:31 p.m.: A caller from Hopedale was concerned about a tenant on Pheasant Circle. The caller said he was not answering the door or the phone. The caller and the tenant were involved in a domestic earlier.
