Lady Hawks Soar at Regional Cheer Competition
Two teams from Milford Youth Football and Cheer will advance to national competition in December.
Editor's Note: the following was released by Melissa Juliano, secretary for Milford Youth Cheer. On Saturday Nov. 24, 2012, the U10 and U15 Milford Lady Hawks represented Milford at the Regional Competition held at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Rhode Island. The U10 team is coached by Nicole Cheschi, assisted by Erika Girad, Chrissy Waldo, Kathy Williamson, and Wendy Baglione. Student coaches are Amber Waldrup, Victoria Chiarelli and Sabrina Carneiro. The girls on this team are in between the ages of 8 and 10 years old and in the third through fifth grades. They took the floor early in the day and showed everyone what Milford cheerleading is made of! Their routine consisted of some amazing stunts for girls their ages. They had handstand …
