Milford Hires New Football Coach
Joe Todd, formerly an assistant coach for Mansfield High School's team, is the new head coach of the Milford Scarlet Hawks.
Milford High School has a new head football coach: Joe Todd, most recently the defensive coordinator for the Mansfield High School team. Milford Athletic Director Richard Piergustavo confirmed the appointment Wednesday. The Scarlet Hawks ended their last season 2-9, under Coach Tom Cullen. The football team will move to the Hockomock League this coming year, as all other athletics have already done. But Piergustavo has said that shift had nothing to do with the decision to search for a new football coach outside Milford. Cullen, a physical education teacher at Milford High School, led the team for five years. Milford started searching for a new head coach in December.
