UPDATED: Four Injured in Wreck on Purchase Street, Driver Faces Charges

Milford Police and firefighters responded to a serious crash on Purchase Street early Tuesday morning, using the Jaws of Life to free a person trapped in a car.

Four people were injured, including one with multiple fractures, after the car they were traveling in late Monday night ran off Purchase Street and struck a large boulder. One passenger in the Acura Integra had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters using the Jaws of Life, according to police.  The four occupants of the car were taken to Milford Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries following the crash, reported shortly before 11 p.m., according to a police report. The 19-year-old driver is expected to be summonsed to court on several offenses. According to the Milford Police log, police are seeking a summons to charge Juan J. Delgado, 19, of 4 Purchase St., Apt. 2, Milford, with OUI liquor and serious injury, …

Man Injured in Fiske Mill Road Crash

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to remove a man from his vehicle on Fiske Mill Road Friday, after it crashed and turned on its side. The man, who was not identified, was taken by ambulance to UMass Memorial Medical Center.

Milford and Upton firefighters removed a man from a vehicle after it turned on its side in a crash on Fiske Mill Road Friday. The man, whose identity was not released, was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, said Lt. Paul DiAntonio of the Milford Fire Department. The crash was reported about 6:30 p.m., near the intersection with Field Pond Road, and involved one vehicle. The cause has not been determined, DiAntonio said. Upton firefighters arrived first on the scene, and stableized the vehicle. Milford and Upton firefighters then removed the man from the passenger's side of the car using extrication tools. The car was at a 30 to 45 degree angle, DiAntonio said.

The cause.. speeding on a smooth paved road. the way they hug the sides i woudnt be surprised if someone gets killed on this road.Many cyclists ride through it(they think it's a country road) no, it's Nascar.   more ›
