Fire on Domenick Street Accidental, Cause Undetermined
The state Fire Marshal's office has concluded an investigation into the fire that leveled a Domenick Street home on Saturday. It was determined to be accidental.
The state Fire Marshal's office has determined a fire that destroyed a two-story house on Domenick Street was accidental in nature, but the cause could not be pinpointed. The fire, at 13 Domenick St., led to a building collapse and damaged two adjacent homes. The investigation was conducted by the state Fire Marshal's office, in conjunction with the Milford police and fire departments. "There is no reason to think there is anything suspicious about the fire," said spokeswoman Jennifer Mieth, of the state Fire Marshal's office. Due to the collapse of the building, however, the investigators could not determine what caused the fire.
