Readers have been uploading photos for nearly a week. We've crowned a winner.
We received more than 120 entries in our black and white photography contest. It's never easy to pick the one winner of our weekly photo contest, but upon clicking through the gallery several times, we had to go with Paul Bishop's photo, as shown above. Using the lighting style of a classic Hollywood photographer, Bishop noted in our comments section that "using discrete light sources and live balancing gives a feel and flexibility that you just can't get otherwise." Congratulations, Paul: we'll be contacting you to get you your $25 gift card. Thank you to all who entered: collectively, you've created a gallery of wonderful photos on Patch!

Our weekly photo contest, featuring black and white photography, is going strong. If you haven't entered yet, it's not too late. The deadline to upload photos in the contest is 5 p.m. tomorrow (Monday). So, if you haven't entered yet (or, if you'd like to enter more photos), simply click on this link and follow the easy instructions to upload. (Please make sure to follow the above link to enter the contest; while you are welcome to upload pictures here, this is not the contest page and therefore your photos won't count as an official entry.) Our weekly photo contest offers readers the opportunity to win a $25 gift card.
The deadline is today for this week's photo contest: Black and white photography. Whether you developed the photo in black and white or added a filter to the picture after the fact doesn't matter to us. Anything in black and white is fair game! We’ll take submissions until 5 p.m. today, Jan. 21. The winner, chosen by Patch editors, will be announced on Jan. 22. The prize? A $25 gift card. We know it can be hard to choose just one, so you can enter as many photos as you like. If you like a particular photo, tell us in the comments! Eligibility is limited to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
