Ipsen's Biomeasure Facility Sold to Illinois Company

A bankruptcy court has approved the sale of Ipsen's property on Maple Street to Baxter International.

Ipsen's Biomeasure facility on Maple Street has been sold to an Illinois-based drug manufacturer. The sale of the property, sought by Ipsen after its partner filed for bankruptcy protection, was approved Wednesday, according to a report in the Worcester Business Journal. As recently as last year, Ipsen had planned to expand in Milford. That plan, and a tax incentive plan approved by Milford town meeting members, was cancelled earlier this month. Ipsen employs about 150 people in Milford. The company had stated, in a letter to town officials, that research staff will be transferred to another facility outside of Milford.
