A New Hampshire development company wants to build a 90-unit assisted living facility on a 5-acre site at the corner of Birch Street and Medway Road. The development, called "Cornerstone," is before the Milford Planning Board Tuesday for a public hearing, and a possible vote. The hearing begins at 7:05 p.m. at Town Hall. The proposal would develop a now largely-vacant parcel, which used to be an apple orchard. SPL Development Group, of Amherst, NH, wants to build a one- and two-story structure in a series of wings. A parking area of 60 spaces also is included. The proposed 66,726-square-foot assisted living facility would include a 25-bed alzheimer unit, said Town Planner Larry Dunkin.
