Weekend Pick: Public Skating at Blackstone Valley Ice Arena

Blackstone Valley Ice Arena, the new ice arena in Hopedale, is offering a half-day-of-school special, where you pay for skating while your friend skates for free.

Timely, because Friday is a half-day for Milford Public Schools.

Regular skating rates are $5 per person and if you need skates, rentals are $5, too. The ice arena will have public skating from 1 to 2:50 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Saturday.
