Milford Scarlet Hawks Home Game vs. Foxboro, Final Milford Farmers Market

Here are some options for your busy weekend.

Friday, Oct. 11

1. Milford Scarlet Hawks (varsity) will play Foxboro at Milford High School. Game begins at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 12

1. Come on out to the last outdoor Milford Farmers Market of the year. The market will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. next to Town Hall. This week, as a last hurrah, the market will feature pumpkin face decorating from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

2. Sal's Pizza is celebrating its anniversary with a Customer Appreciation Day, starting at 11 a.m. The deals include a rollback of prices to the 1990 rates, which means a 19-inch cheese pizza for $5.55. And the .55 will be donated to the United Way for Early Childhood Education initiatives. Plus, other discounts. See their announcement.

3. The Milford Youth Center will host the Ben Classic, a 3 vs. 3 Basketball Tournament, starting at 1 p.m. All proceeds will go to the family of the late Benjamin Nick Gonzalez.

4. The Milford Humane Society hosts an open house and a 20th Birthday Party for resident cat Lois, starting at 1:30 p.m. Cake will be served. Please bring a small gift for the kitties.

5. Fabulous Fifties Sock Hop, a fundraiser for the Milford Performing Arts Center, will be at the Hopedale Unitarian Parish, 65 Hopedale St., Hopedale. DJ Ray Auger will spin great oldies but goodies. Raffles, prizes, cash bar, great food. Come in 50’s attire - optional, but why not? Dance contests – prizes for best 50’s look! Sunday, Oct. 13

1. Open houses in Milford.

2. Open Farm Day, Whittier Farms, Sutton. The dairy farm is open to the public on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
