Milford Performing Arts Center Hosting First-Ever Telethon Sunday

The idea originated with an 11-year-old Milford student and member of the center.

This Sunday, Milford residents will have the chance to support the inner workings of the Milford Performing Arts Center

To help fund several needs from equipment improvements to various scholarship, the MPAC will host its first-ever telethon on Sunday from 4-10 p.m. on Milford Channel 11. The event will also be viewable on the Milford TV website.

The idea began with 11-year-old Brittany Silverman of Milford, who thought of starting a telethon to help support the group after realizing the center did not have air conditioning last summer, according to the Boston Globe
