UPDATED: Change in Location, Foxwoods MA Casino Hosting Barbecue on Saturday

UPDATED: The Barbecue will no longer be held at the site of the proposed casino, due to the weather Friday and likelihood of muddy, or difficult walking conditions Saturday. The event will now be held at the Crystal Room banquet facility on Cedar Street.

Foxwoods Massachusetts is inviting people to the proposed site of the resort casino on Saturday, for a barbecue and site visit.

In a release, a spokesman said the event will allow people to see the property and get an explanation from the developers how the structure will fit into its environment.

"The event is an opportunity for Milford residents to see the property first-hand, learn details of the site design and gain a further understanding of how the planned structure fits within the natural environment," said Stephen Oakes, in a release. "Foxwoods executives, architects and engineers will be present to answer questions."

The event is from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Milford Stone Company property, 429 E. Main St. Parking is available on-site.
