Community Food Drive at Milford Farmers Market

On Saturday, the Milford Farmers Market will give people free entry tickets into a special raffle for a vendors' mix of food supplies, if they contribute non-perishable items to the Daily Bread Food Pantry.

The Farmers Market will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the lot next to Milford Town Hall.

The food pantry is most in need of the following items: hearty, low-sodium soups, canned ravioli, canned spaghetti sauce, beef stew, low-sodium canned vegetables, baked beans, boxes of mac and cheese, low sugar cereals, whole wheat or whole grain pastas, and instant oatmeal.

Three items for the food pantry will get you one ticket for the special raffle; six items will get you two tickets.

Each week, the Milford Farmers Market features fresh produce, baked goods and homemade items including jams, jelly and honey. Four local or regional farms send produce each week.
