Monday Essentials: Former Celtic Chris Herren to Share Story of Drug Abuse, Sobriety
Here are five interesting or important things coming up in the week ahead.
1. Chris Herren will speak to Milford High School students on Tuesday, and to the community at large Tuesday night, about his personal story in falling into addiction then overcoming it. The free speaking engagement is at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Herren, of Fall River, now runs an athletic conditioning company, Hoop Dreams with Chris Herren.
2. Milford Selectmen will meet on Monday at 7 p.m.
3. Craving a skinny latte? Starbucks at the Milford Target will open on Monday.
4. Kenneth Gloss, an expert in rare books, will speak at the Milford Town Library at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, on the topic "Is There Value in Your Old and Rare Books?"
5. The Milford School Committee will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m.
