Milford Referendum on Casino, Selectmen to Discuss Tax Rates, Property Values
Here are five interesting or important things coming up in the week ahead.
1. Milford Selectmen will meet on Monday. The agenda includes a public hearing on the tax rates for Milford properties, and on the assessed values.
2. The deadline for obtaining an absentee ballot from the Milford Town Clerk's office, for the casino referendum, is noon on Monday.
3. Milford referendum on the Foxwoods Massachusetts casino is Tuesday. Polls open at 7 a.m. and are open until 8 p.m. If you plan to drop off an absentee ballot, deadline is 8 p.m.
4. Educational film on Lyme Disease. Milford Youth Center, 24 Pearl St., 7 p.m.
5. Milford's Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. Thursday. The agenda includes a request to begin discussing the zoning changes needed for the Foxwoods Massachusetts casino.
