UPDATE: Martin Finds a Home

A few days after Martin was profiled showing his newfound skills, including an auto-sit, a Milford family adopted him.

Good news!

Martin was adopted out of the Milford Animal Control offices this week, heading home Tuesday with a Milford family that has two teenaged sons and a nice back yard, and a pool (labs like to swim!)

The family was among many who responded to a video showing the new obedience and training skills Martin picked up from the Happy Retriever in Holliston.

The black lab mix had been at Milford Animal Control about 18 months, one of the longest-staying animals that was found loose, then turned in to the town-run center.

Rochelle Thomson, the Milford animal control officer, said she was kind of sad to see him go, but "very happy that he found a home."
