Slam Shut the Door!

With recent events further displaying Foxwoods’ ill preparedness to plop a casino on top of us plus our strong resolve to eliminate the possibility of a different gambling interest attempting to fill the void we must be ever mindful that an unequivocal “NO” vote is still needed on 11/19.  Some of our neighbors and leaders that remain loyal to the gambling mantra must realize, by way of our vote, that legalized looting is not acceptable in Milford.  We wish not to be exposed to it on a 24/7/365 basis as part of the character of Milford.  Should we not vote this casino down now, by a large majority, the door will remain ajar for whoever would attempt another try at a later date.  The battle is not won until the last vote is counted on Tuesday night.  We desire to maintain our town, Milford, as a hometown free of overwhelming outside influences that offer self-serving promises and projections while forcing us to accommodate the needs of gambling.  Please, vote “NO” on 11/19.
