Milford Rotary Club Host Career Day for Hopedale High School
Following a long-standing tradition, the Milford Rotary Club celebrated Rotary’s Vocational Service month by hosting members of the Junior Class from Hopedale High School during its annual Career Day event held last Tuesday. More than 70 students spent two hours with local business owners and managers, operating businesses that mirrored the students career considerations. Students were transported to the area businesses by Rotarians in order to spend the morning learning about the highs, the lows, the plusses and minuses of their chosen careers. Rotarians returned students to the school around 11:30 AM where they boarded the school bus and headed to Restaurant 45 in Medway to enjoy a luncheon, compliments of Rotary, with Rotarians, School Administrators and some of the local business leaders who had mentored the students. During the luncheon meeting a number of students were selected at random to share their experiences. Rotarians Jenny Cataldo and Jane Schroeder coordinated this year’s program and were assisted by Hopedale School Guidance Counselor’s Jill St. Martin and Sharyn Mulvaney.
