The Casino: What are we looking for?

I've been thinking a lot about casinos, traffic, our Town's infrastructure, and the like.  It has occurred to me that another 30,000 vehicles will make it even more difficult to get aournd town, and that we already don't have enough water to care for our yards and gardens.  I don't have sewer, so that's irrelevant.  But I do have a desire to live in a place that is livable.
My part time job is as a teacher, and I teach about the needs of older people.  One piece of that is talkign about livable communities, or places for people to live where there is truly good access to medical care, shopping, entertainment, culture and education.
We have most of that in Town here, except for ease of access.  Already, on any given day of the week or weekend, getting around town is messy.  Even getting from where I live to Fortune Boulevard, or getting home from work by way of Dilla Street, is a horror show.  If we add another 30,000 vehicles, even with improvements to 495, I fear that I will have to pack a lunch.
Milford has changed a lot over the short time I have lived here (about 20 years) and we all have seen both positive and negative effects.  And yet, here we all are ready to invite one huge issue in to our lives.
More jobs?  Some.  More revenue?  Consider extra costs to the town for public safety.  Local improvements?  Well, not that will help most of us, I'm afraid.
So, I sat with my doodle dog, Disney, and asked what he thought.  He looked at me, perked his ears, sighed heavily, and rolled on his back with his 4 paws in the sky.
I was waiting for the wisdom of a canid to address my fears when all of a sudden he sprung to his feet and licked my face.
Hmmm.  That was it?
Apparently no.
After licking my face, he disappeard into the kitchen, and I heard some knocking around.  I followed him there, to find my pup with his head in the trash.
And that, my friends, is the message.
Need I say more?
