Milford Thanksgiving Football Vs. Holy Name High School

For the first time, Milford High School will play Holy Name in the annual holiday contest.

Milford High School will have a new foe at Thanksgiving: Holy Name High School, in Worcester.

The annual Thanksgiving Day football game is at Milford this year, set to begin at 10:15 a.m. Thursday.

The event costs $7 for adults and $5 for kids and students.

Holy Name is a new opponent, said Richard Piergustavo, the Milford Schools athletic director. Shrewsbury High School, the traditional opponent for Milford, dropped Milford in favor of a game against Wachusett.

The Holy Name team finished with a 4-5 season this year. Milford completed its season with a 2-8 record.

Reminder for people heading to the game: Parking is not allowed on West Fountain Street. Police recently installed signs near the tennis courts.
