Milford Native, Minnesota Twin First Baseman Hits Home Run on Mother's Birthday

Chris Colabello hit a game-tying home run in Wednesday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

It was an extra special birthday for the mother of Milford native and Minnesota Twins first baseman Chris Colabello.

While being interviewed in the stands by Fox Sports, Silvana Colabello watched her son hit a game-tying home run in Wednesday night's game against the Tampa Bay Rays, whom the Twins beat 6-4, according to Yahoo Sports

The interview captures her surprise and joy at the home run, as she was celebrating her birthday while at the game.

Earlier this month, Colabello, a Milford High School graduate, was honored as the co-recipient of Major League Baseball's American League first Player of the Week Award 2014 alongside Los Angeles Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton. 

Colabello made his MLB debut with the Twins last August.
