Open for Business: Green Street Auto Spa

Milford has a new car wash: Green Street Auto Spa.

The business is owned by Barry Desruisseaux, of Uxbridge, who purchased the former Friendly Car Wash property in September. The new business at Cape Road and Green Street includes a refurbished car wash. Other businesses in the building will offer Mobil oil changes, starting in December, and detailing through Goodwin's Auto Detail.

Desuisseaux also owns Bright Shine Auto Spa in Uxbridge. He's experienced in operating a full service car wash and said he's excited to be working now in Milford. "This is not what it used to be. It has been completely redone."

The new business cannot honor the old car wash books sold by Friendly, which has gone out of business, but for people who have those old books, Green Street Auto Spa will take $5 off the top two car wash choices, for each remaining ticket.

In coming days, Desuisseaux said he plans to begin offering wash books for Green Street.

Green Street Auto Spa, 39 Green St., will offer washes beginning at $10, and up to $20. The car wash features soft wash technology. The hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
