Stacy Students to Represent World Cultures This Week

The annual "Festival of Cultures" arrives on Wednesday.

The cultures of the world will be seen, heard and tasted in Milford this week.

Coming off the heels of last week's April Vacation, more than 125 students from Stacy Middle School in Milford will represent more than 50 countries for the school's annual "Festival of Cultures" on Wednesday.

As part of the effort, the students researched different countries and will have cultural exhibits, music and food tastings from the cultures they studied, according to school officials.

Massachusetts State Sen. Richard Moore (D-Uxbridge) will be in attendance along with the Vice Consul General of Pakistan and the United Kingdom, among others, including a representative from Japan who will be returning to write the students' names in Japanese, school officials said.

The festival runs from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30 in the Stacy Middle School gymnasium.
