The session will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday for parents and students interested in taking part in the program.

Milford school officials are hosting a special information session Wednesday night for parents and students in Milford who are interested in hosting an international student.

The event will be geared at providing information on how students can develop lifelong friendships with students from abroad, as well as learn about a different culture and language.

Students who take part will receive a stipend of $500 per month, and for those who refer others to take part, they will receive a $150 referral bonus when that family is approved to host.
