Milford Schools Dir. of Nursing to Recommend Head Lice Policy Updates, Changes

Milford Public Schools' Director of Nursing Judy Dagnese on Thursday plans to provide an update and recommend changes for the district's head lice policy to the Milford School Committee. 

Dagnese will be among those speaking at this week's committee meeting; Students Against Drunk Driving Advisor Diana Dow and her peers will also be present to discuss a $900 SADD grant that was recently awarded. 

Superintendent of Schools Robert Tremblay will be at the meeting as well to discuss an update on the Woodland School project. 

The Milford School Committee will meet at 7 p.m. in the Teachers Resource Center at Milford High School on Thursday, March 20.

Those nurses....too busy handing out condoms....lets put the war on women aside for a bit....and continue our war on vermin/infection/parasites.

Thanks for the info Marsha. I didn't know that about the notices. It's been a couple years since my kids attended Milford schools. I'm glad the committee is questioning the proposal. I'd like to know what her definition of "effective use of the nurses time " is.

Wow, this is so silly!!! If a student has lice, they should be sent home until the problem is resolved. Kids now a days with cell phones and selfies are going to pass head lice like wild fire. Who on the school committee would we contact to express our concern about this new policy?
