VIDEO: Help Libby, an Elderly Dog, Find Her Final Home

Updated: Libby has found a home.

Updated: Libby has been adopted by a Milford resident.

Original Post:

This is Libby, an elderly dog who needs a home. She is a German Wirehaired Pointer who is very calm.

Libby’s owner likely dumped her. She was found on Purchase Street wearing an old, orange hunting collar with no identification. Although Libby is a hunting dog, she is too old to hunt.

In addition, she is not spayed, but it is also unlikely she can be bred. She has been tested for heartworm and has received all basic shots. Her adoption fee is $35.

If interested in Libby, call Milford Animal Control at 508-478-3871.

Does Milford Animal Control accept donations of food and other shelter supplies? I understand they are not a shelter or an adoption agency, but I would like to help if possible. (I already own three shelter dogs, otherwise I would be so very open for an adoption!)

Hi, I will ask. I am pretty sure they do, but as a town agency, it might have to be disclosed or something. I'll ask Rochelle.
