Sean Bielat, Candidate for Congress, Stops in Milford

Sean Bielat, a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, made a campaign stop Wednesday at the Milford Senior Center.

Sean Bielat stopped for about a half hour in Milford Wednesday, speaking individually to seniors at the about his background and candidacy.

Bielat, a Republican candidate, is conducting his second run for Congress. The former Marine and businessman, 37, last ran unsuccessfully in 2010 for the Fourth Congressional District against Barney Frank, who has announced his retirement.

The race for the open seat has drawn interest from several candidates, in both major parties. is leading the pool in several polls.

Other Democrats in the race include Marty Farren, of Sharon;

Among Republicans, is running, as well as Brookline School Committee member Elizabeth Childs.
