Milford Selectmen to Impose Hours Rollback on Scioli's

Beginning Friday, Scioli's Pizza Bar will be prevented from serving alcohol after 11 p.m. The restriction will continue for six months.

Milford Selectmen on Monday ordered a six-month rollback on alcohol serving hours for Scioli's Pizza Bar, to take effect Friday.

The rollback on serving hours, to 11 p.m. daily, follows a court decision that affirmed the town's decision to curtail alcohol sales at the bar and restaurant. Selectmen voted to approve the hours rollback after a hearing in which police and customers described a fight in the parking lot that seriously injured two customers.

Scioli's is appealing a related decision by selectmen, which would suspend the alcohol license for three weeks.
