Editor's Note: the following statements and notes were made in Milford Board of Health inspections of restaurants and schools.

Eva's, 55 Water St., Nov. 2: One violation: scrape cutting boards and sanitize. Other notes: Mold on splashboard on back of three-base sink; everything else very good. New menus being printed.

Four violations: scrape cutting boards better; food contact surfaces need to be better; stovetop in back needs to be cleaned; no paper towels in the bathroom; scrape buildup on floor around fryer. Notes: Need to do more frequent cleaning and general cleaning.

No violations. Need a handwash sign, one at the station downstairs and one in the men's room. Glasses have a lot of water stains. Rewash and check dishwasher. Everything very clean and orderly.

No violations. Other notes: need changing pads in the ladies' bathroom changing station; very clean and sanitary facility, manager present during complete inspection, no issues. Computerized time and temperature log, very good.

Two violations. Beer glasses have  alot of water and mineral spots. Other bar glasses good. Changing stations in the bathrooms need disposable pads at all times. Handwash station in the kitchen, no paper towels. Much better inspection this time around. Doing much better with the general cleaning. Sanitizer concentration in the dishwasher is a little too high, decrease to 50 to 100 ppm.

Two violations here. Need an additional thermometer for the Nestle ice cream chest freezer, and replace ceiling tiles where damaged.

No violations here. All pre-packaged foods and snacks kept in air tight plastic containers. There is no food prep here.

No violations here. All foods are pre-packaged specialty foods.

Five violations here, which included the following: keep rear storage room clean and well maintained with separation of food items, non food items and any equipment; do not store pots between pipes and the splash wall; keep foods in the three-door cooler covered during storage; do not store the ice scoop in the ice bin at the waitress station.

Three violations. Two involved the need to clean the cooling units in two coolers, and one missing thermometer in the beer cooler where the milk is stored.

Need to be sure knives are clean before storing them in the knife rack. Also, two hot foods are to be covered when not in use.

No violations here. Very well maintained and cared for.
