Milford Voters Choose Dias for Tax Collector; Callery, Parson for School Committee
Get the preliminary totals of who won which race in Milford this year.
The Milford 2014 annual town election wrapped up shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday night, with preliminary totals showing voters picking their top choices for tax collector and two new members of the Milford School Committee, among other candidates.
Theresa M. Diomedes Dias, Milford’s current acting tax collector, won the contested race with 2,260 votes over opponent Melissa V. Alves-Tomas, who received 1,611 votes.
Four candidates eyed two seats on the Milford School Committee, with Joseph Callery and Jennifer Parson coming out as the top choices. Callery received 1,587 votes, while Parson received 2,202 votes. By comparison, opponents David Levine and John Erickson pulled in 645 votes and 1,573 votes, respectively.

For Highway Surveyor, incumbent Scott Crisafulli won the race with 2,490 votes over opponent Shelly Leclaire, who received 1,386 votes.
For Library Trustees, incumbents George Clemens, Jr. and Kathryn Mastoianni were voted back in, as they received 1,766 and 2,320 votes, respectively. Candidate Scott A.
