Milford to Open Transfer Station for Storm Debris

The Milford Board of Health will open the transfer facility on Cedar Street Wednesday. It will remain open on Sundays through November.

Milford's Board of Health decided Tuesday to open the Milford transfer station on Cedar Street Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., to accommodate town residents.

The facility can accept leaves, tree branches and other materials left by Hurricane Sandy.

The Board of Health also decided to open the facility on Sundays throughout November, starting Nov. 4. The hours on Sundays will be from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
