Labor Secretary to Host Career Service Open House in Milford Tuesday

Rachel Kaprielian will unveil a new outreach initiative at the Milford "Workforce Central" Career Center.

Massachusetts Labor and Workforce Development Secretary Rachel Kaprielian plans to stop in Milford this week to boost visibility of services for job seekers throughout the Commonwealth. 

Kaprielian will be at the Milford "Workforce Central" Career Center on Tuesday, when she plans to unveil a new outreach initiative and highlight the unique and interactive programs for entrepreneurs, as well as self-employed workers. 

The open house is part of an ongoing effort to showcase services available to job seekers and employers at the 33 career centers in Massachusetts.

The open house will be held Tuesday, June 10 at the Center, 425 Fortune Blvd., Suit 201 in Milford starting at noon. 

Kaprielian, previously the state's registrar of motor vehicles, replaced former Labor and Workforce Development secretary Joanna Goldstein, who went on to work at Northeastern University, according to Boston.com.
