Remove Obama Protestors: Effective or Not?

The LaRouche PAC movement has been staging sidewalk protests in Milford for several months. The group is promoting Rachel Brown, a LaRouche Democratic candidate on the Fourth Congressional District primary ballot.

For several months, people who support the Lyndon LaRouche candidates have held sidewalk protests in Milford.

They stop cars at lights, hand out leaflets, and carry signs that advocate the impeachment of President Obama. The signs are notable: they feature an altered photo of Obama, giving him an Adolf Hitler-style mustache. The photo is a reference to LaRouche Political Action Committee literature that calls the president a dictator.

The protests have moved from the sidewalk outside thedowntown, to outside the , to the spot chosen by the group members Tuesday: at the busy intersection near the

The LaRouche PAC has a candidate, Rachel Brown, on the Democratic ballot for the Fourth Congressional District, which now includes Milford. She spoke briefly to Milford Selectmen Monday, and is expected to hold a policy forum in Milford on Saturday.

On the Sept. 6 Democratic primary ballot, she faces candidates including Joseph Kennedy III, a grandson of the late Robert F. Kennedy.

Are these sidewalk protests effective? Will Brown gain support in Milford because the campaign is comparing Obama to Hitler? What do you think?

I think the more important question to ask is: will the United States survive if we DON'T remove Obama, Romney, and reinstate Glass Steagall?

I love the insight that these LaRouche campaigns give about the real state of our economy, rather than the clear deceit propogated from the rear ends of our so-called current government officials. Instead of looting each other by means of Wall Street gambling and games, lets give the next generation a fighting chance to develope this nation. They want to remove Obama and create a third option, and then take back the bail-outs so we can fund big productive job programs.

Thank you for including the links to LaRouchePAC and Ms Brown websites. I actually read through the reasons why these campaigners are comparing Mr. Obama to Hitler and are advocating his impeachment, and I have to say that I agree completely. The unconstitutional war in Libya, can not be excused and I am watching with terror the way our government is pushing ahead with imperial regime change policy in Syria now, arming the very Al Qaeda extremists, who traumatized America on September 11th. It is also true that the policy of bailing out the mega banks while cutting the budget on the ordinary population, is costing lives. The Hitler regime was but one of many at the time, which were put into power by the corrupt and rotten financial interests for their own benefit. Anyway, I think that these young people are courageous for sticking up for this nation, and I think that whether or not their campaign will succeed, is really a matter of how hard and deeply Americans are willing to think about the crisis.

Mary, Thank you for providing a cite to see what they are about.....it only reinforces why I will vote AGAINST this candidate. Amazing that they want to "impeach" Obama, but in their "Impeachment" document quote BUSH policy...I don't see them holding signs to "persecute" Bush/Chaney with a Hitler Mustache?

These particular "young people" are an offensive and dishonest blight on Milford. I have experienced their loud and aggressive bullying, and I have witnessed others being harassed by them outside the post office. And you should really read up on Lyndon Larouche and his cult--their long-running but ridiculous attempts to convert people to their bizarre conspiracy theories, their threatening manner to anyone who disagrees with them, etc. Lyndon Larouche is a convicted criminal and a notorious liar, with links to the Ku Klux Klan, but no links whatever to respectable members of either the Democratic or Republican parties. Larouche has also beenidentified as a racist and an anti-Semite, so his and his cult followers' disgusting "comparisons" of President Obama to Hitler are especially ironic. This group would be laughable if they weren't so vulgar, aggressive, dishonest and deranged.

That's not all they want to do... Beware!!!!!

Kinda like all the pie throwers who went after conservative speakers at various colleges over the past few years, ehh Dave??!!
David Nolta July 26, 2012 at 12:31 PM
Not at all like pie-throwers, Joseph. Not like the merely rude people who do silly, nasty, obstructive things in both parties. Closer to cross-burners, threatening-letter-writers, criminals. Have you read up on the Larouche cult and their tactics? Huh, Joey?
Joe Kane July 26, 2012 at 12:39 PM
Sure have Dave and they are just like the Progressive Pie Throwers!!

First question- are these paid 'protesters' ? Next-what does LaRouche stand for ? From what I've read he's actually pretty far out. The act of using a Hitler-like 'stach' indicates for me he is cynically using the images of a 'monster' to get P.R.
David Nolta July 26, 2012 at 02:09 PM
Yes, Ed, that is definitely ONE of the things he is doing! And if I get to choose, give me pie!
Robin Gelbwachs July 26, 2012 at 02:26 PM
I don't care if you agree with President Obama or you do not...the office is the highest office in the land and deserves respect. The image of President Obama likening him to Adolph Hitler??? Are you kidding me??? The LaRouche people better take a break to brush up on their World War II history. Personally, I find those comparisons beyond offensive.
Milford Senior Man July 26, 2012 at 02:32 PM
Lyndon LaRouche is a nutcase.
David Nolta July 26, 2012 at 03:09 PM
Nope, not like pie-throwers of any variety. Not "disrespectful", but "deranged".
Milford Senior Man July 26, 2012 at 03:53 PM
Robin, I completely agree.
Joe Kane July 26, 2012 at 04:59 PM
And, by the way..... LaRouche is a nut!! We agree on that!
