Deadline Approaching for Vendor Bids for July Fireworks Show
Interested vendors have until Feb. 13 to submit bids for this summer's show.
Independence Day may be several months away, but officials in Milford have begun seeking vendors to provide a fireworks show this summer.
In a recent announcement on the Milford town website, officials noted that the deadline for the bids is coming up on Thursday, Feb. 13. Interested vendors will have until 2 p.m. that day to submit their bids, which they can deliver or mail to the following address:

"Bids shall be publicly opened and read by the Chief Procurement Officer at this time," the statement reads.

Any bid received after that date and time will be returned to the vendor unopened and rejected.
The final contract will be awarded within 45 days after the bid opening, unless extended by mutual consent, according to the announcement.
The fireworks show is currently set for July 3 at 10 p.m., with a rain date of July 5.
