Burned Structure to be Rebuilt

A residential and commercial building on Central Street, which burned last winter, will be rebuilt. Milford's Zoning Board of Appeals has agreed, and the Planning Board will take up the site plan next week.

The owner of a building on Central Street that burned down last winter plans to replace it with a similar structure, including room for two apartments.

Milford's Planning Board next week will take up a site plan for the property at 64-66 Central St. The property is owned by Vincent Beltramini, trustee of D & V Realty Trust.

The new building will include a ground-floor retail shop, and apartments on the second and third floors, said Milford Town Planner Larry Dunkin.

The structure burned in a Jan. 19 fire that took several hours to extinguish. It was razed last spring, and a protective fence installed.

The Planning Board is expected to take up the matter in its meeting Tuesday.
