Assessments Decrease in Milford Revaluation

The Milford Board of Assessors has completed a state-required re-valuation of all Milford properties. The overall assessments have decreased in value.

A three-year revaluation of Milford properties will reflect a drop in market value.

This, according to a statement released this week by the Milford Board of Assessors. The required re-valuation is a snapshot of what Milford properties — commercial, industrial and residential — were worth as of Jan. 1, 2012.

The new values are based on sales in 2011, said Priscilla Hogan, Milford Assessor administrator, in a press release.
