Milford police this week arrested two local residents after discovering a marijuana growing operation inside their apartment on Claudette Drive.
Milford detectives responded to an apartment at 12 Claudette Dr., inside of which building management reported locating a marijuana growing operation, police said in a statement. After applying for a search warrant for the apartment, detectives found a large number of mature plants stored inside two grow tents with a hydroponic control system setup that comprised lighting, ventilation and filtration systems.
The residents of the apartment -- Steven Johnson, 29, and Michaela Bohac, 27 -- weren't home at the time of the search, Milford police said, but returned shortly after the warrant was executed.
Police charged both with possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute (cultivation), possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute (buying/selling), possession of a Class D substance and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
