Milford police and emergency crews responded to an accident on Fortune Boulevard Saturday night that sent one car into the water and six people to the hospital

The incident occurred around 9:16 p.m. Saturday, when police received multiple reports of the accident, and at the time it was unknown if anyone was in the water. Upon arrival, police reported that all individuals were out of the water in the area, and requested a tow truck for the vehicles, according to police records. A large number of emergency personnel responded to the scene, as well.

As a result of the incident, police charged Elizabeth Facey, 21, of Milford, for driving under the influence of liquor, failing to stop/yield and operating under the influence of liquor & serious injury, according to police reports.

The incident occurred after Facey, who had been driving a car with her 3-year-old daughter inside, allegedly ran a red light and hit a white van with four people inside it from behind, and the van subsequently went into the water nearby, according to MyFoxBoston.

Time to move to the Milford Daily News for posting. Patch is circling the drain.

Seriously. Where are the updates? The local take on the story? The news vans have been circling town all day.

Michelle, while I think a lot of the back and forth speaks poorly about Milford, it does bother me as well that we don't have the avenue of expression open. So long as no one is threatening violence, it's just discourse. On the other hand, when it gets so off topic, it is hard for the editor to read and parse them so maybe they have given up entirely. Even Mary sometimes admonished the whole class and deleted posts!

Just like the horrible accident with Matthew, this is the exact same thing.ANOTHER drunk driver behind the wheel, only by the grace of God did no one get killed. Drunk driving is a HUGE problem in America and its not restricted to any one group, nationality or legal status. She should pay a serious price, one reflective of the severity and danger of her actions.
