Police Log: Youths Removed from Fino Memorial Pool

Thursday, Aug. 30

4:32 p.m.: Poice responded to Tomaso Field, where cheerleaders should have had the field, but were unable to get on due to others using the field. An officer spoke to the two groups. "Several vehicles were moved due to parking violations."

6:52 p.m.: A caller asked to speak to an officer about her 13-year-old son, who she said ran away from the house at 2 p.m.

7:24 p.m.: Police discovered a large area cut in the fence of near the foot bridge, allowing people to enter the area. Youths were removed from the site, but a caller reported they might go back in after the football practice. Police notified the Parks Department.

7:43 p.m.: A caller asked an officer to respond to Roland Way, to speak to residents about barking dogs. The caller said she has spoken to the town's animal control officer previously, about an on-going problem. An officer said all was quiet until he went into the backyard. The officer then called the animal control officer and reported the dogs were disturbing the neighbors. No one answered the door at the dogs' house.

8:14 p.m.: A woman at was reported to be choking on a piece of food. Police and firefighters responded, but she was not taken to a hospital.

9:32 p.m.: Police responded to School Street, where a caller said a child was "yelling and screaming." Police found it was a teething baby, and spoke to the mother, but the child appeared fine.

9:40 p.m.: A caller complained of a loud TV and music coming from

Friday, Aug. 31

12:30 a.m.: A vehicle was repossessed on Princess Pine Lane, without incident.

3:38 a.m.: A caller reported hearing loud banging coming from a house on Chapin Street that was under construction. Police checked and heard no noise.

7:49 a.m.: Police and firefighters responded to where three vehicles were involved in a motor vehicle crash. Two people refused treatment at the scene. Fluid leaked into the roadway. Two vehicles were towed.

10:28 a.m.: A caller reported a suspicious motor vehicle on Wales Street. A green truck was in the area. Police stopped the vehicle. The driver was "collecting scrap metal."

11:33 a.m.: A landlord on Draper Park called to report issues with some of her tenants "harassing the others." Police advised her it was a civil matter.

12:49 p.m.: A police sergeant reported he had stopped a scooter near the , with no plate or license. A tow truck was called to remove the scooter, and then was cancelled because a friend of the scooter driver arrived to pick it up.

1:07 p.m.: Several youths were reported to be fooling around in the middle of Depot Street. The youths were gone when police arrived.

1:35 p.m.: Police responded towhere two females were reported to be shoplifting, by putting things in a reusable bag they were carrying. Police arrested Carmen Milagros Sanabria, 48, of 21 Howard St., Milford, on a charge of larceny over $250.
