Police Log: Yellow Jackets, Stolen Mailbox

The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

In the overnight police log, officers responded to complaints of vandalism, including a mailbox that was reported stolen, and discovered on another street.

Sunday, Aug. 14

4:30 p.m.: A caller en route to said he had been stung by 15 yellow jackets. Milford police provided him an escort from the town line to the hospital.

4:51 p.m.: A caller on Hillcrest Drive complained of loud music at her neighbors’ house.

6:05 p.m.: A caller told police his wallet was stolen from his car while it was parked outside the , and that it was used at three different establishments.

9:11 p.m.: A loud party was reported at a location on Water Street. Officers spoke to the partiers who were “taking it inside for the night.”

11:06 p.m.: A caller on Mark Drive reported a possible fight in the area between four to six young males.

Monday, Aug. 15

12:17 a.m.:  A 19-year-old woman with a head injury was taken by ambulance to the hospital from.

6:40 a.m.: A female employee of was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

8:44 a.m.: A motorcyclist was injured in a crash on Fiske Mill Road, and taken to the hospital. The operator was reported to be conscious when the 911 call was placed.

8:59 a.m.: A woman who lives on Rolling Green Drive reported her vehicle was vandalized.

9:56 a.m.: A caller from Nancy Road reported his mailbox was stolen. He then called back and said a man on Agnes Street had located it, and returned it.

10:22 a.m.: A caller from John D. Mahaney Rentals, on Jefferson Street, reported finding broken windows on a motor vehicle.

11:07 a.m.: A hit-and-run was reported at

12:19 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters to report harassment to a child.

12:30 p.m.: A caller from Paula Road said his mailbox was vandalized.
