Police Log: Woman Panhandling, Vicious Fisher Cat

The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

In the overnight police log, officers responded to two reported domestic incidents and helped an animal control officer with an injured and vicious fisher cat.

Sunday, April 1

5:23 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Pine at Main streets, police were seeking a court summons to charge Thomas R. Hehir, 46, of 87 West St., Apt. 2F, Milford, o charges of having an unregistered motor vehicle, having an uninsured motor vehicle and illegally attaching number plates. The 1995 Toyota Camry was towed.

6:02 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Pond at Main streets, police were seeking a court summons to charge Jason A. O'Brien, 39, of 19 Muriel Ln., Milford, with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and having no inspection sticker. The 1997 BMW was towed.

6:34 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Franklin at Main streets, police arrested Segundo J. Mainatamuylema, 29, of 21 Forest St., Apt. 2, Milford, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with license revoked as a habitual traffic offender, and a motor vehicle lights violation.

7:47 p.m.: Two officers provided assistance to the Milford animal control officer in handling a vicious and injured fisher cat.

7:57 p.m.: A woman reported a domestic incident involving her children's father at their home on East Main Street.

9:09 p.m.: A caller reported she was following an erratic driver, possibly intoxicated, near on Central Street. An officer pulled the Honda Accord over near on East Main Street, and determined the driver was lost, not intoxicated.

9:37 p.m.: An anonymous caller on West Street told police a woman had come to his door and "requested money and refused to leave until she got it."

9:39 p.m.: A disturbance was reported at the A vehicle was in the parking lot doing donuts. police were unable to locate the offender.

11:00 p.m.: Police responded to Depot Street where a woman said her ex husband had struck her. The man had left the residence. Police are seeking a summons to charge Jaider A. Lopes, 47, of 57 Pearl St., Milford, with domestic assault and battery. Police are seeking a summons to charge Cleonice T. Lopes, 29, of 16 Depot St., Milford, with domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

11:59 p.m.: A caller involved in the domestic dispute on East Main Street earlier in the evening reported that the woman had taken all of the cable wires from the household.

Monday, April 2

7:20 a.m.: The man involved in the domestic on East Main Street the previous night called again, to report his ex had stolen checks from him.

8:22 a.m.: A caller near reported a group of males in a blue, compact car were smoking marijuana. The car was near the cemetery side of the parking lot. The vehicle was gone when an officer arrived.

2:18 p.m.: A woman calling from Sherwood Park apartments told police a female was causing a disturbance at the location because the caller refused to rent an apartment to her. The caller suspected the woman was intoxicated. The woman was gone when police arrived.
