Police Log: Woman Falls Down Stairs, Man Jumps in Front of Car

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Nov. 10

6:26 p.m.: A 45-year-old woman was reported to have fallen down a flight of five steps on Wales Street, and sustained a possible broken ankle. Police responded. She was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

6:55 p.m.: A man reported he had been pushed out of his ex's house, when he went to drop off his children.

11:03 p.m.: A disturbance was reported on North Vine Street. A caller said a man in a white sweatshirt jumped in front of his car, then walked toward Highland Street. The man wasn't acting right, he reported. Police could not locate the man in the sweatshirt.

11:27 p.m.: A caller who reported a hit-and-run earlier Sunday told police he had spoken to a witness and had a plate number for the vehicle that fled the scene.

Monday, Nov. 11

7:21 a.m.: Vandalism was reported on Pheasant Circle.

9:46 a.m.: Harassment was reported by a woman who said she'd been receiving texts and calls from an unknown number.

4:30 p.m.: A woman asked to speak to an officer about on-going harassment.

6:18 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and said he had been attacked by a man on Exchange Street holding a knife. He described him as a white male short in stature, and roughly 120 pounds. 

7:34 p.m.: A caller on Birch Street said a man was looking in the windows of a building.

8:55 p.m.: A caller on Water Street said a dark SUV pulled into his driveway, and a man jumped out and ran around his yard. The man then got back into the vehicle and left. Police could not locate the vehicle.

Tuesday, Nov. 12

6:38 a.m.: A caller on Forest Street said a man in a rain coat was picking through trash in the area. He was gone when an officer arrived.

8:20 a.m.: A caller said a speaker set was missing from his apartment bathroom, on Colonial Road. He said the management had advised tenants to leave the dead bolts unsecured the previous day for fire testing.

10:28 a.m.: A woman on Lawrence Street asked to speak to an officer about harassing letters that had been left on her car.
