Police Log: Woman, Children Screaming, American Flag Stolen

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. All arrests are reported. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, July 2

5:13 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to report he has a custody problem. The mother of the child failed to drop the child off with him.

5:22 p.m.: A woman asked police to help her retrieve some items from a home. Police responded and arrested Harrison James Beard, 22, of 26 Chestnut St., Milford, on a warrant.

5:43 p.m.: A woman had fallen but was not getting up, in a park across the street from Oliva's Market. EMTs responded. She was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

8:22 p.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on Dilla at Sumner streets, resulting in fluids in the road. No one was injured. The Highway Department responded to clean the road.

9:06 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Congress at Eames street, police arrested Jhon Flores-Crusado, 25, of 11 Senate RD., Apt. 2, Milford, on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

9:09 p.m.: A caller told police that Stop & Shop had robbed him. Police spoke to him.

9:48 p.m.: A caller on Walden Way said he could hear fireworks behind the house, possibly in the quarries. Police checked and said everything was OK.

10:34 p.m.: A disturbance was reported on Bancroft Avenue. A man was on a pedal bike, yelling for his dog. Officers were escorting him to another location to find the dog.

10:39 p.m.: A man said he had had a friend over earlier in the day who stole $200 from him. The friend did return the money, but the man wanted to talk to an officer.

11:14 p.m.: Two people walked in to police headquarters and reported a woman has been calling them and showing up at their house.

Wednesday, July 3

1:29 a.m.: A woman told police her boyfriend was at a house and violating a restraining order. Police checked and found no sign that the man was there.

6:35 a.m.: A caller on Edgewood Drive said an American flag had been stolen from her front yard.

7:59 a.m.: A bicyclist on West Street was hit by a WB Mason truck. When police arrived, the bicyclist was up and walking around and talking to the driver, with no apparent injury.

8:21 a.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and said someone had hacked into her daughter's Facebook account, and posted inappropriate photos of her daughter to the wall. Police filed a report.

4:14 p.m.: A caller on South Main Street said a woman and her two children were screaming. Several officers responded, but were not able to find the source of the noise.

4:46 p.m.: A caller on High Street said two small girls were playing with a go kart in the road.
